Travel French Courses in Auckland & Wellington(A1- Basic French)
Learn to speak French in Auckland and Wellington with our fun 10 week French survival travel language classes and lessons taught by expert native French teachers from France and start speaking French today. In these French A1 language courses you will learn French Pronunciation, Greetings, Questions, Colors and Directions. Furthermore every lesson will include something about French Culture and People.
Our French Language Course Program follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and ranges from Level A1 to C2.
- Beginners French A1 = Ncea Level 1 French and the following University 100 level courses (University of Auckland French 101 and Victoria University Fren101)
French Course objectives for A1 are :
- Greetings, taking leave; introduce oneself; ask and give personal information; talk about one's hobbies; talk about one's city; ask and give explanations; understand an itinerary's simple directions; give simple directions for an itinerary; ask closed questions, eating out and shopping
- Talk about one's job; describe a person; talk about one's family; talk about one's daily activities; talk about one's projects
Vocabulary Skills:
- Greetings; identity; moments in a day; tastes; foods; verbs and directions; how to be polite: simple formulas
- Most common professions; masculine and feminine for profession-based adjectives; physical and psychological descriptions; family relationships; daily activities
Grammar Skills:
- To have & to be (avoir & être); possessive adjectives; negation (ne…pas); numbers up to 100; definite and indefinite articles; present tense of verbs ending in -ER; preposition (places); "Pourquoi? Parce que" (Why? Because); interrogative adjective: "Quel"?; closed questions: "Est-ce que..."?
- Prepositions (places); demonstrative adjectives; stressed pronouns; qualifying adjectives; possessive adjectives; reflective verbs; near future; imperative mode and tense
Optional Course Textbook:
- Cosmopolite 1 Units 0-3. Readily available at online bookstores and downloadable pdfs
Duration:
- Each evening course is made of 10 x 1 1/2 hour weekly classes running for over 2 months at the same time and day of the week as its listed course start date. There are no classes on Public holidays.
